Dementia Caregiving is Hard.
Getting Affordable Help Shouldn’t Be.
Medicare May Cover the Cost of Home Care, So You Can Finally Get Some Support.
If you or a loved one has dementia and you have Traditional Medicare, the GUIDE Program may provide a yearly in-home care allowance (up to $2,500) plus navigation and caregiver support, at no charge to you.
As a certified GUIDE-Ready respite provider, we can help you determine whether you qualify. Our goal is to give you extra support. If you’d like, we can do a quick check to see if you or your loved one qualifies and walk you through the next steps.
What is the GUIDE Program?
GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) is a Medicare-sponsored program that provides practical, ongoing support to people living with dementia and their caregivers, not just a brochure and best wishes.
When dementia care gets tough, you need a team that helps you coordinate care, find resources, and get relief when you need it most.
If you qualify, GUIDE may provide support that includes:
- Up to $2,500 per year for respite/in-home care support. A yearly allowance to help cover in-home care so your loved one can remain safely at home, at no charge to you (benefit renews annually if eligibility continues).
- FREE respite care hours paid for by Medicare, so you can rest, work, attend appointments, or simply take a breath without guilt.
- A dedicated dementia care navigator. Someone who helps coordinate care and connects you to essential community resources like transportation, meals, safety programs, and more.
- Caregiver training and support. Tools and guidance to manage stress, improve safety, and help delay higher levels of care when possible.
Relief is real: Get up to $2,500 a year for in-home respite care at no cost to you.

Folks qualify for GUIDE if they:
✅ Have Traditional Medicare
✅ Have a suspected or confirmed dementia diagnosis (Alzheimer’s, Lewy body, frontotemporal, vascular, and others)
✅ Live at home or in the community (including ALF or ILF)

GUIDE is NOT available if the person:

🚫 Is part of certain Special Needs Plans (SNP)
🚫 Lives in a nursing home/long-term care
